How do I cancel my membership?

If you’re out of contract, we require one full calendar months’ notice (effective from the 1st of the month) to cancel your membership. If you’re still within your initial contractual term, the earliest cancellation date will be your contract end date.

You can find your contract end date of your membership in the app under Studio > Self-Service > Contract Data.

Here’s how to submit a cancellation request via the Gymbox app:

  • Open the Gymbox app
  • Go to Studio
  • Select Self-Service
  • Tap on Contract Data, then on your active membership
  • Choose Cancel Contract, then tap Proceed to Cancellation
  • Select your membership end date
  • Provide a reason for your cancellation and confirm your request

Restrictions: Membership cannot be frozen during a cancellation notice period.

Your cancellation will be processed, and you’ll receive confirmation of this by e-mail. You can also check the exact cancellation date in the Messages section of the app. For an early termination of your membership please check here.

Members on a 16–17-year-old membership only, you can cancel via the Gymbox app as above, or by cancelling your direct debit instruction directly with your bank at least 5 working days prior to the payment due date. Cancellation for these memberships only will take effect at the end of the paid period.
